One look at the plant these seeds produce and one is left with no question where it got its name. Upon maturity, Snow Bud expresses beautiful white pistils that literally look like they are covered in a thick, fluffy coat of snow. Even better, these plants produce a huge number of those flower sites making this strain a great choice for growers who wish to deal in quantity.
That isn't to say that one sacrifices quality with Snow Bird. This is a wonderful sativa-dominant strain with a low THC content that makes for an exceptionally good medical marijuana. Those who use it for this purpose will appreciate its universally therapeutic qualities. On the sativa side, it fights the effects of anxiety and depression. On the indica side, it deals well with physical ailments from migraines to arthritis and all types of joint and muscle pain. The aroma has a distinct Skunk quality but not as intense. It has a spicy overtone with a hint of evergreen, adding to its wintery appeal.
The smell has a certain warmth and inviting quality to it as well, evoking thoughts of good times to come. The flavour mirrors the aroma quite nicely with an even more intense spicy quality, much like nutmeg and cinnamon. The smoke is easy on the draw and very smooth on both the lungs and the palate. Growing Snow Bud is simple. These seeds are feminised making them germinate easily and produce an abundance of buds. The plants grow tall which creates a real consideration for indoor growers. However, with adequate vertical space growers will find that these plants are relatively forgiving and respond well to any growing method. The plants can reach about 6 feet indoors and nearly 8 feet outdoors.
Outdoor yields are generally better and growers in the Northern hemisphere should plan harvest by the end of October.
